Neil deGrasse Tyson has made a simple point about the latest wave of UAP discussion: if the government has actual evidence of alien life or technology, it should show the public. Recent coverage says Tyson argued that the public is culturally prepared for the possibility of extraterrestrial life, but that extraordinary claims need actual evidence rather than hints, rumors, and partial releases. That is a reasonable challenge. The public does not need more mystery for its own sake. It needs evidence that can be examined.
