One of the most well-documented UAP encounters occurred in 2004 when U.S. Navy pilots from the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group intercepted an unidentified object off the coast of California.
Commander David Fravor described the object as resembling a white “Tic Tac” with no wings, no exhaust, and no visible propulsion system. The object reportedly accelerated instantly and demonstrated flight characteristics far beyond known aircraft.
Radar operators had tracked the object descending from approximately 80,000 feet to sea level in seconds.
The Pentagon later confirmed the authenticity of the encounter and released video footage captured during the incident.
To date, no official explanation has been provided.
